We Need Self Reliance: Solving Our First World Problems

first world problems

Those of us fortunate to have first world problems can learn as we see the humor of watching less fortunate people react to them.

A nice bit of humor for the weekend.

We can find relief in having all this abunance when we

1) Stay in gratitude for our good lives and what we have.

2) Commit to do more to share opportunities with the billions rising.

We have too many Worlds! One should be enough!

      I agree.

In setting up Billions Rising, we’ve had many discussions about the wording and phrases used. So many have come to mean “us” or “them”

Most of all is the paradox of helping people with self reliance. One has to ask if a self reliant person needs help.

Our answer is yes. We can do more together in collaboration than alone. We can live with that paradox :)

Everything is relative. I remember being pregnant with my first son, standing in line at the grocery store and seeing a pregnant “teen” mom with a young babe in tow and wondering how in the world she manages.

We need to be grateful for all the good fortune we encounter, and pay it forward whenever we can.

Thanks for the terrific post, reminding us that many of our problems, are NOT problems.
